Printable Jesse Tree Ornaments and Readings: 25 Day KJV Family Advent Devotional for Kids

Your kids can follow God's story from Creation to the manger, one ornament at a time.

A thick devotional book can end up on the shelf by the second week of December. This one asks for a few minutes a day: read one short Bible story, talk about one question, say a one-line prayer, and hang one ornament. Each reading fits on one page and is written to be read aloud in plain words younger kids can follow. The days are numbered, not dated, so you can start any year, skip a day, or catch up on a weekend.

WHAT'S INSIDE (42 pages)

• Cover, a how-to page and a "What is a Jesse Tree?" page with Isaiah 11:1
• A reading checklist for Days 1 to 25, with boxes for "read" and "hung"
• 25 one-page family readings: a KJV key verse, the story in three short sentences, a question for the kids and a one-line prayer
• 24 round ornaments (2.75 in, 6 per page) and a big 6 in star for Day 25, in full color
• The same ornaments and star as outlines for kids to color
• An "Our Jesse Tree" poster to color in day by day
• A family notes page and a short thank-you page

Made for families with kids about 4 to 12, and it also works for homeschool and Sunday school groups. The ornaments work best on cardstock. Punch the small circle at the top and hang them with string or ribbon.
